He was predeceased by: his parents, George David Bass and Dwilda Evdon Knight Bass. He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Bass; his children, Amy Bass, Brian Bass, Brittany Bass, Erica Satterfield and Hannah McKinney; his grandchildren, Kayla Carmichael, Hayley Postma, Devin Bergstrom, Christian Belgstrom, Jada Ledd, Riley Satterfield and Samuel McKinney; and his siblings, Durand Bass (Maunette), Briana Hunt, Elissa Kilpatrick (Bobby) and Reeche Danton Bass (Jenni). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
