He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Lee Cope and Margaret Ann Bouyer Cope; his daughter Sherry Bolin; his grandchildren, Morgan Lane Cope and Maxwell Lee Cope; his brother Reuben Cope Jr.; and his son-in-law Paul Powell.

He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Cope; his children, Renee Powell (Jared Faust), Brad Cope (Tammy), Stephen Cope (Heather) and Jason Cope (Debbie); and his sister Edna Takacs (Richard). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews cousins & many friends.
