She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Porter Perdue, Sr. and Gladys Riette Maddox Perdue; her husband James Shaw; and her siblings, Annette Freeman and Sonny Perdue.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Shaw (Charyl) and Debbie Shaw; her brother Larry Perdue (Linda); her grandchildren, Mallory Jackson (Philip) and Lindsey Shaw; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Jackson and William Jackson.
