It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Glenn Brackeen (Elkmont, Alabama), who passed away on August 8, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Yu-Vawn Blakely, Joan Lovell, Elna Toone and Bud Brackeen. He is survived by: his wife Betty Brackeen of Elkmont; his children, Connie Shannon (Wade), Ronnie Brackeen (Teresa), Sherry Lannom (Jim) of Toney and John Brackeen of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Bart Shannon (Jennifer), Bethany Gilliam (Jason), Daphne Edwards (Kyle), Loren Fielder (Craig), Matt Lannom (Haley) and Lacy McCormick; and his siblings, Keith Brackeen, Phillip Brackeen, Nathan Brackeen, Cletis Brooks and Cornelia Pepper.
