She was predeceased by: her father Buford Sampson Dobbs; her former husband Gary Manwarring; and her granddaughter Emily Ann Bates. She is survived by: her mother Martha Marie Herzig Dobbs of Elkmont; her children, Shelia Pettus of Florence, Melissa Dilworth (Thomas) of Southaven, Michael Simpson of Elkmont and Christopher Simpson (Cindy) of Tuscaloosa; her grandchildren, Amanda Howard, Bradley Monroe, Brian Monroe, Richard Bates IV, Hayden Dilworth and Tristan Simpson; her brother Paul A. Dobbs, Sr. (Deborah) of Elkmont; and her fiancé James Hooper of Athens. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
