He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lackey and Nona Gurley Lackey; his son Derek Lackey; and his siblings, Fred Lackey and Willow Dean Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Ofelia Lackey; his daughter Jessica Head (David) of Elkmont; his sisters, Janice Smith of Talladega, Betty Scoggins of Prattville and Juanita Johnson of Prattville; his grandchildren, Arabella Jones and Liam Head; and his former wife Debbie Turner of Elkmont.
