James Larry Thornton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2022, at the age of 77, James Larry Thornton of Elkmont, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Granville and Eva Correan Thornton; his sister Sherry Darlene Wallace; and his former wife Lynda Sue Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Thornton; his sons, Charles Rodney Thornton (Vicki) and Bryan Craig Thornton (Kelli); his stepchildren, Tony Hobbs (Sueann) and Tina Hendrix (Terry); his grandchildren, Susan McMurry, Ryan Tucker (Dixie), Matt Tucker (Amelia), Cat Booth, Kimberly Williams (Levi), Kyle Thornton (Brittney), Kasey Mewbourn (Tyler), Courtney Mason (Dustin), Ashley Meyer (Josiah), Tyler Hendrix and Trenton Hendrix; and his brother Thomas Joe Thornton (Bertie). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
