He was predeceased by: his parents, Orbie Otis Coston and Ruby Odell Wiggs Coston; and his brother Doyle Coston. He is survived by: his wife Verna Irvin Coston; his daughters, Karen Lynne Murray (Dean) and Beverly Sue Davis (Wesley); his sisters, Sue Addington (Bill) and Dot Burling (Steve); his grandchildren, David Toone, Amanda Jacoby (Robert), Randy Toone (Sara), Joel Davis (Brooke), Laura Lowry (Jeffery) and Kristen Pierce (Vince); and his great grandchildren, Brooklynn Pierce, Ayden Lowry, Kinsley Murray, Annelise Jacoby, Emery Toone, Lawson Pierce and Parker Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
