He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Kirby and Reba Bridges; and his siblings, Jeanette Roberts, John Wayne Kirby and Billy Kirby.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kirby; his sons, Shane Kirby (Neasha) of Elkmont, AL and Shaun Kirby (Jessica) of Bell Mina, AL; his sisters, Joyce Quintavalle of Decatur, AL and Jennifer Kirby of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Haven Kirby, Kaylen Kirby, Ella Kirby and Brody Kirby; and his nieces, Nikki Gray and Kayla Vogan.
