He is survived by: his children, Marisela Ascencio, Ysmael Ascencio, Rafael Ascencio, Vianey Ascencio, Miguel A. Ascencio, Bonifacio Ascencio, Jaime Ascencio and Minerva Ascencio. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.
