He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Dodd and Katie Tidwell Dodd; his former wife Priscilla; his children, Kay Rutledge and Lee Dodd; his brothers, Lecil and Harold Dodd; his granddaughter Holly Rutledge; and his great grandchild McKenley Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Helen McDonald Dodd; his children, Kenny Dodd (Joe) of Fairhope, Jeremy Dodd (Nikki) of Fayette and Melissa Key of Winfield; his grandchildren, Zach Rutledge (Haley) of Wetumpka, Chase Rutledge (Chelsea) of Eldridge, Trevor Dodd of Tuscaloosa, Katrina Hart Mitchell (John) of Escondido, CA, Benjamin Key (Caitie) of Alamosa, CO, Josh Dodd (Weezie) of Eldridge, Wendy Armstrong (TJ) of Jasper, Tara Crumpton (Keith) of Winfield, Jordy Dodd of Eldridge, Cory Dodd of Eldridge, Bryant Dodd of Tuscaloosa, Colton Cooper of Muscle Shoals, Gabria Cooper of Fayette and Joycelyn Franks of Fayette; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Crumpton, Bridget Crumpton, Ty Crumpton, Lucas Rutledge, Ella Katherine Rutledge, Sydney Rutledge, Madeline Mitchell, Hudson Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, Anna Dodd, Jordan Dodd, Madison Barnes, Blake Barnes, Riggs Armstrong, Addison Armstrong, Chloe Rutledge and Charlie Rutledge; his children-in-law, Sheila Dodd and Hank Rutledge; and his brother-in-law Dennis McDonald.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Kelly Cemetery.
