He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean Harris Abney; his children, Tommy Franklin Abney, Jr., Susan Denise Abney Tracy, Christi Jean Abney Widener (David) and Thomas Ashley Abney (Angela); his grandchildren, Joseph David Tracy (Tiffani), Stephen Harris Widener, Nicholas Glen Widener (Kelsie), James Austin Laurie, Ashton Gage Abney and Ashlyn Danielle Abney; his great grandchild Bryleigh Grace Tracy; and his siblings, John Howard Abney (Maureen), Peggy Sue Abney Sylvester and Jackie Abney Hinson (Bill).
