She was predeceased by: her husband Jeffrey Mathews; and her parents, Rosie Mathis Thomas and Hubert Thomas. She is survived by: her sons, David Dean of Kingsland, GA, Jonathan Dean of Goodman, AL and Timothy Brookshire (Dorothy) of Newton, AL; her grandchildren, Brandon, Isabella and Elliott; and her siblings, Patricia Gayle Martin (Ronnie) of Enterprise, AL, Paul Leon Thomas of Goodman, AL and David Glenn Thomas (Connie) of Opp, AL.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
