He was predeceased by: his former wife Gladys Chandler Owens; his wife Judy Eldridge Owens; and his siblings, Frederick Sherman Owens, Robert Lamar Owens and Betty Jean Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Villa Danford (Ronny) of Wetumpka, AL and Renae Summerlin (Tim) of Northport, AL; his grandchildren, Kim Fuller (James) of Wilsonville, AL, Kayla Danford of Wetumpka, AL, Joseph Summerlin of Nashville, TN and Jacob Summerlin of Chattanooga, TN; his great grandchildren, Patrick Fuller, Abigail Fuller, Annalee Fuller, Olivia Fuller, Jameson Fuller and Jalyn Danford; and his sisters, Pauline Isbell and Camellia Sims.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at the Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (518 Co Rd 421, Elba, AL 36323).
