Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Susan leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna "Susie" Deloris Holderfield and William Dillard "Doug" Holderfield; her son John Wesley Buchanan; and her brother William Darrell Holderfield. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Michael Forbes (Raeann) of Elba, AL and Kenneth Bridge Harrison (Kelsey) of Elba, AL; her brother Michael Douglas Holderfield (Rosalyn) of Dothan, AL; and her sister-in-law Cheri Holderfield of Enterprise, AL. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at the Evergreen Cemetery (1150 Claxton Ave, Elba, AL 36323).
