It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonya Williamson of Elba, Alabama, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Sonya farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sonya is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edlow Elkin Williamson and Shirley Bryant Williamson. She is survived by: her husband Stevie Lamar Boutwell of Elba, AL; her brother Tim Williamson (Tammy) of Troy, AL; and her nieces, Sydney Crider of Rainbow City, AL and Savannah Richards of Greensboro, NC.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (1150 Claxton Ave, Elba, AL 36323).
