He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcus Bryan and Mary Ellen Hudgens Bryan; and his siblings, Mary Sue Marler, Billy Marion Bryan and Bobby Carroll Bryan.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Messick Bryan of Elba, AL; his daughters, Tonya Hudson (Doug) of Titus, AL and Tabitha Gary (Trey) of Elba, AL; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Hudson of Pelham, AL, Kelsey Hall Johnson (Zeth) of Montgomery, AL, John David Hudson and Chaseton Hall of Troy, AL; his great grandchild Dutton Timothy Johnson of Montgomery, AL; his sister Glenda Parrish of Elba, AL; and his sister-in-law Jean Bryan of Brantley, AL. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at the Bulloch Community Cemetery (5720 Old 3 Notch Rd, Brantley, AL 36009).

“I will forever cherish the knowledge Runt passed along to me on farming. He was one of the first to welcome us to the neighborhood and his Christian ways insured us that we picked the right place to retire. I consider myself very fortunate to have known him and his memory will live on with us! He was a true neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed by all those he touched.”
