It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Dell Howard of Elba, Alabama, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Betty Howard; his wife Virginia Wicker Howard; and his sisters, Pat Lowery and Linda Kirschenmen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bonnie Weber, Jack Howard and Jill Figge; his children, Valerie McGuire (Mike) of Elba, AL, Kelley McElroy (Gordon) of Mohnton, PA, Kevin Howard (Marian) of Arley, AL and David Howard (Cheryl) of Franklin, TN; and his grandchildren, Taylor Kim McGuire (Kim), Hunter McGuire (Emily) of Birmingham, AL, Molly Walker (Stephen), Lindsay (Harrison), Lauren Leith Mt (James), Nikki Bono (Dan) of Henderson, TN, Georgia, Kyle McElroy (Brooke) of Virginia Beach, VA and Courtney Howard (Adam Laurenzo).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (431 E Davis St, Elba, AL 36323). A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Evergreen Cemetery (1150 Claxton Ave, Elba, AL 36323).
