He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dana Hammonds, David Hammonds, Andy Philyaw, Danny Philyaw (Philadelphia), Steve Funderburk (Virginia Beach), Jonathan Philyaw (Japan), Lindsey Philyaw (FL), Tiffany Smith, Jerry Philyaw Jr (TN), Derrick Philyaw and Rebecca Martin; and his brother Dennis Hammonds of Holt, FL.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
