He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnne Thomason Rainer; his parents, Lamar Sidney Rainer, Sr. and Violet Dantzler Rainer; his siblings, Pat VanBlaricum and Lamar Rainer, Jr.; and his grandson Adam Waddail.
He is survived by: his children, Melanie Leigh Rainer Bledsoe (Karl) and Frederick William "Ricky" Rainer Jr. (LeRae); and his grandchildren, Ashleigh Waddail of Enterprise, AL, Doug Rainer (Stephanie), Lori Beth Whaley (Jamie), Will Rainer of Birmingham, AL and Leanne Matherly (Trent). He is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren.
