He is survived by: his wife Elaine Vaughan Martin; his son Doug Martin, Jr. (Betsy); his son-in-law Christopher Smith; his grandchildren, Hannah (Martin), Michael Jordan, Elena (McCormick), Eric Nicholson, Trey, Alicia Martin, Martin McCormick and Griffin Martin; and his great grandchildren, Jolene Jordan and Reaghan Nicholson.
