She was predeceased by: her husband Walter S. Stokes; her parents, Lora Alice and Edward Roswell White; her children, Debbie Smith and Billy Stokes; her grandsons, Kary Stokes, John "Bo" Thomas and Jack Thomas; and her great grandchild Brandon Stokes.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Lindsey (Foy H.) of New Brockton, AL, Karen Tucker (Roy) of Samson, AL, Charlene Cardwell (Paul) of Enterprise, AL, Darlene Barley (Jerry) of New Brockton, AL, Gloria Griffin (Y. Z.) of Samson, AL and Wayne Edward Stokes (Melanie) of Moss Point, MS; and her nephew Bob White. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.
