We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2023, at the age of 84, Sara Annell Shirah (Eight Mile, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Lasco Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell; and her sister Novia Mae Pennington. She is survived by: her husband Julian F. Shirah; her sons, Barry Shirah (Pam) and Darren Shirah (Jodie); her grandchildren, Jonathan Shirah (Valerie), Nathan Shirah (Traci), Joyce Nation (Matthew), Neil Shirah (Courtney), Sarah Turner (Kyle) and Mallory Gleason (Josh); and her sister Eulene Mitchell. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
