It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julian Francis Shirah (Eight Mile, Alabama), who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shirah and Evie Shirah of Brewton Alabama; and his wife Sara Annell Shirah. He is survived by: his sons, Barry Shirah (Pam) and Darren Shirah (Jodie); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Valerie), Nathan (Traci), Joyce (Matthew), Neil (Courtney), Sarah (Kyle) and Mallory (Josh); and his sister-in-law Royisee Shirah. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Chapel (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613).
