He is survived by: his wife Mary Montoya; his children, Christina Sexton (Johnny), Brad Taylor (Tammy) and Angie Gates (Lee); his grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, Victoria S. Sexton, Amy White, Carolina Montoya, Gabriella Montoya, Anthony Matthews and Weiland Joaquin Gates; and his brother Anthony Montoya.
