He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Woodfin Bone and Samuel Jepsey Bone; his siblings-in-law, Charles McDaniel, Wayne Adkinson and Gayle Bone; and his nephew-in-law Brad Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Wilson Bone; his children, Miranda Stuckey (Johnathan), Samantha Mantz (Jeff), Clayton Mantz (Megan) and John L. Bone, Jr.; his siblings, Betty McDaniel, Mary Kibler (Glen), Eva "Jeanne" Adkinson and Sam "Ed" Bone; and his granddaughter Caroline Stuckey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
