It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Freeman Barrett of Echola, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on December 18, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandson Justin Barrett; his sister Diane Gilliam; his brothers-in-law, James Arnold and Rusty Reams; and his parents, George Barrett and Catherine Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Lancaster Barrett; his children, Jennifer Barrett, Kimberly Barrett and Shane Barrett; his sisters, Sarah Reams and Patsy McDaniel (Glenn); his brother-in-law Dennis Gilliam; his grandchildren, Payton, Kymbrelle Barrett, Kelsey Gaddy and Nikki Short (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Waylon, Weston, Sarah Beth, Lana Dylan and Pru. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
