He was predeceased by : his parents, James E. Holder and Myrtle Cates Holder; his siblings, Jack Holder, Arnold Holder and Geraldine Holder Britt; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Frances Holder, Shelby Holder and Joann Holder.

He is survived by : his siblings, David L. Holder and Shelba Holder Whitley (Roy); and his sister-in-law Georgette Holder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
