It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Barnett (East Brewton, Alabama), born in Repton, Alabama, who passed away on July 17, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband E. C. Barnett; her daughter Jackie Bradshaw; her parents, Jack Hayes and Elizabeth Hayes; and her siblings, Herman Raines, Ralph Raines, Stansell Raines, Lamar Hayes, Cleveland Hayes, Juanita Calloway and Evelyn Calloway.
She is survived by: her daughter Metra Sawyer of East Brewton, AL; her brother Rodgers Hayes of Repton, AL; her grandchildren, Jeremy Miniard, Lavon Miniard, Ashley Hodge, Jennifer Hale, Mary Ann Shaw and Adam Bradshaw; and her great grandchildren, Logan Miniard, Ethan Miniard, Paris Miniard, Hayeslee Hodge, Elise Miniard, Townes Hale and Mason Hodge.
