It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Lois Higdon Jackson of East Brewton, Alabama, who passed away on July 26, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Higdon and Pharobia Mixon Higdon; her former husband Murphy L. Ryland; her son Robert L. Ryland; her husband Francis G. Jackson; her daughter Mary J. Settle; and her son-in-law Wayne T. Bell.

She is survived by: her former spouse Frances G. Jackson; her children, Patricia J. (William George), Marita J. (George Nielson), Ocie R. (William Robinson), William M. Jackson, Phyllis R. Bell and Regina R. (Daniel Kelly); her son-in-law John Settle; and her sister-in-law Annie Charles Higdon. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
