He is survived by: his children, Lisa McKnight (Ben), Sharon Gilliland and Raymond Gilliland (Hope); his sister Opalene Elmore; and his grandchildren, Emily McKnight Skelton (Brylan), Nathan McKnight (Katie), Tyler Hopson and Erin Gilliland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
