He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Weant and Helen Weant; his brother Kenneth Weant; his nephew Brian Weant; and his niece Ashley Nicole Weant.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Davis Weant of Dozier, AL; his daughter Meg Weant Castleberry (Casey); his grandchildren, Benjamin Houston Weant, Hadley Page Weant, Teagan Kathleen Stinson, Eleanor Rose Weant, Captain Wilder Castleberry, Maverick King Castleberry and Ace McCoy Castleberry; his siblings, Charles Weant (Shirley) of Dozier, Donnie Weant (Judy) of Dozier, Ferrell Weant (Diane) of Dozier and Mary Beth Thrash (Chet) of Dozier; and his sister-in-law Shirley Weant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
