He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Connell and Ruth Howes; his stepmother Hazel Connell; his son Shawn Dale Connell; his grandparents, Bill Connell, Dora Mae Williams, Marion and Lillian Meeks; and his siblings, Gary Wayne Connell, Martha Connell, Ronnie Connell and Brenda Connell Sternberg.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Webb; his son Ryan Edward Connell (Vanessa); his siblings, Jan Webb (Ronnie) and Jeanne Randolph (Randy); and his grandchildren, Angel Connell, Skyler Connell and Tyler Connell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
