He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Gunter and Roberta Gunter; his great grandchildren, Melody Gunter and Rebecca Gunter; and his siblings, Doris Moore, Bobby Gunter and Wilton Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Gunter; his sons, Danny Gunter (Karen) and Joey Gunter (Tonya); his grandchildren, Malachi Gunter (Carmela), Matthew Gunter and Melanie Holt (Waylon); and his great grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, J. J. Gunter, Levi Gunter, Jayda Holt and Lila Holt.
