He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Posey and Emma Posey; his wife Audrey Behel Posey; his brother Donald S. Posey; and his brother-in-law Charles Whitten.
He is survived by: his son Chris Posey (Marcia); his grandsons, Marcus Posey (Elizabeth) and Lucas Posey; his great grandchild James Posey; his sister Carolyn Whitten; his sister-in-law Glennis Posey; and his nephew Don Posey (Teresa).
