He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Neal; his son Jonathan Heath Atkisson; and his stepmother Minnie Lois Neal. He is survived by: his wife Mechell Neal; his father George William Neal Sr.; his brother George William Neal Jr.; his stepsiblings, Libby Conklin and Jack Lowry; and his grandchildren, Gracie Atkisson and Jacob Ivey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
