He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Garfield and Lillie Bell Miller; his brother C. R. Hood; his wife Easter Miller; his daughter Shelia Hood; his granddaughter Lisa Flanagan; and his siblings, Oliver Miller, R. C. Miller, Henry Miller, Wendell Miller, Johnny Miller and Willodean Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Miller, Paula Hill (John) and Gennie Garrison (Rodney); his stepdaughter Mayrene Martin; and his sister Josephine Flanagan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and his extended family.
