He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Copeland and Lillie Mae Copeland; his siblings, Roy Copeland, Jr., Lillie Mae Cope and Johnnie Mae Johnson; his daughter Erika Copeland; and his granddaughter Mariah Long.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Copeland; his children, Mary E. McKinney (James), Cynthia C. Long (Felix), Madalyn P. Smith (Raymond) and Dedra Galloway (Trique); his grandchildren, Desmond Curry, Tristen Long, Jermaine Long, Kyia Long, Philip Thomas, Aarron Thomas, Ka'Marionna Galloway, Saniya Galloway, Caleb Walker and Zamorrie Grubbs; and his great grandchildren, Trista Long, Kyle Long, Cynthia Long, Orion, Polaris, Naveah, Jermaine Long and Miya Long. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
