Shirley Jean Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jean Nelson of Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eskar Taylor and Addie Lou Taylor; her husband Charles Wilton Nelson; her brother Dr. Wayne Taylor; her brother-in-law Kenneth Napier; and her aunt Louise Moon.
She is survived by: her sister Jennifer Napier; her siblings-in-law, Gail Taylor, Thomas Nelson (Tina) and Jane Nelson; her nieces, Aleah Dixon (Jarrett) and Amanda Phillips (Chris); and her nephew Col. Brett Taylor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church in honor of Shirley Nelson.
