She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Benjamin Doster and Joyce Johns Doster; her daughter Suellen Payne; and her brother Benny Doster. She is survived by: her husband Charles Powell; her daughter Denice Papac (Steve) of Rehobeth; her sisters, Joy Doster Mostellar (Jack) of Mobile and Lee Doster Chandler (Kenneth) of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Mindy Bui (Daniel) of Freeport, Jamie Whitehurst of Webb, Shelby Kiker (Kalen) of San Angelo, TX, Ashleigh Papac of Rehobeth and Lacey Papac of Rehobeth; and her great grandchildren, Harper Bui, Lennox Bui, Cameron Whitehurst, Serenity Whitehurst, Josiah Whitehurst, Madelyn Kiker and Tripp Eason. She is also survived by five nephews and four nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (2864 S Brannon Stand Rd, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
