He was predeceased by: his wife Annette Preston; and his sisters, Bettye Dubois, Mary Frances Kirkland, Hazel Morrow and Ann Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie Preston and Marie Calhoun (Brian); his grandson Preston Calhoun (Caitlin); and his sister-in-law Joy Wright. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (1700 Barrington Rd, Midland City, AL 36350). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Memory Cemetery (6200 US-431, Headland, AL 36345).
