He was predeceased by: his father Major Walton W. Jones; and his grandparents, Marvin Murphy of Capps and Pierce Jones of LaGrange, GA. S. He is survived by: his son Murphy Pierce Jones (Megan) of Daleville, AL; his mother Peggy Carter of Capps, AL; his stepparents, Jim Carter of Capps, AL and Velva Jones of Dunwoody, GA; his siblings, Philip Jones (Kathe), Port St, Jeff Jones (Jennifer) and Julie Ohnstad of Dunwoody, GA; his significant other Kendra Ouellette of Destin, FL; and his son Lauren Scott Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Trot for S.W.A.T., c/o City of Dothan Police Department, 210 N. St. Andrews St., Dothan, AL 36303.
