He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mattie Chambers; his wife Cynthia Green; his children, Tiffany Springfield, Michelle Collins, Patricia Green and Joshua K. Gibson; his stepdaughter Felicia Clark; and his close friend Sheila Salter. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
