He was predeceased by: his parents, Oma Lee Martin and Pearl Thomley Martin; and his brother John Marcus Martin. He is survived by: his wife Faye Martin; his children, Teresa Dauphin (David) and Rick Martin (Yvette); his sisters, Jean Martin Rice and Patricia "Patsy" Martin Durden (Lawrence); his grandchildren, Patrick Dauphin (Kayla), Andrew Dauphin, Alyssa Martin and Madison Martin; and his great grandchild Maddy Kate Dauphin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
