Mary Helen Meacham Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Helen Meacham (Dothan, Alabama), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Garner and Kate Garner; her husband Jerry Lee Meacham of Dothan; her siblings, Terrell Garner, Betty Jo Hurtado, Jack Garner and David Garner; and her grandson Joshua McNelley.

She is survived by: her daughters, Chari (Terry McNelley) and Amy (Doug Shumate); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica McNelley, Justin, Tiffany McNelley, Olympia Shumate, Mary Hannah Shumate and Matthew Shumate; her great grandchildren, Nickolas York, Morgan, Brooklyn, Piersleigh and Oliver McNelley; and her siblings, Sarah Steedley, Patsy Ayers and Charles Garner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
