It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Douglas Mallory of Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Lillie Mae Mallory (Bagwell); his brothers, Byron Mallory, Paul Mallory and Joel Mallory; his granddaughter Amanda Elizabeth Thigpen; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Maudean Bell; and his brother-in-law Ralph Douglas "Buddy" Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Bell Mallory of Dothan; his daughters, Kim Monk (Ken) of Dothan and Janet Thigpen (Brian) of Cowarts; his grandsons, Keith Monk (Jeanna) of Cowarts, Tyler Thigpen of Cowarts and Trevor Thigpen (Hadley) of Dothan; his great grandchildren, Jamie Monk of Cowarts and Alex Monk of Cowarts; and his sisters-in-law, Zelmodean Mallory of Headland and Annette Mallory Hall of Opp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
