He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Harris Ward, Sr. and Mary Sylvia Ward. He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Morris of Dothan; his son Corey Ward of Monterey, California; his sisters, Marsha Hudson (Eugene) and Sandra Anglin (Robert) of Dothan, Alabama; his uncles, John Emit Holmes of Chipley and Arthur Lee Smith, Jr. (Gwendolyn) of Denver, Colorado; his aunt Lottie Ruth Williams of Cottonwood, Alabama; and his close friend Fred Trawick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, three great nephews, cousins.
