He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John Chafin and Hazel Chafin; his siblings, John Chafin Jr., Charlotte Walker (Lee) and Little Vera Chafin; and his in-laws, Rev. AB, Catherine Martin, Phillip Martin, Lyne Dorminy, Lee Walker and Dean Byrd.
He is survived by: his children, Libby Bragg (Tim), Philip Chafin (Tava) and Larry, Jr. Chafin (Sharon); his grandchildren, Rachael (Justin), Christian, Dakota, Nevaeh, Nicole, Andrew and Sophia; his wife Laura; his sister Jackie Chafin-Byrd; his pets, Gidgett and Miko of Gallo Chafin; and his caregivers, Malvia and Nastasia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
