Katherine Kirkland touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Dyson and Florrie McGriff Dyson; the father of her children William Horace Kirkland; her grandson Michael Davis; and her uncle Henry A. "Jack" McGriff.
She is survived by: her husband Marrell Sanders; her children, Vickey Culbreth (Steve), Kathy Taylor (Charles), Dr. Dennis Kirkland (Lora) of Leonard, TX and Danny Kirkland of Foley, AL; her brother Donald Dyson (Cathy); and her grandchildren, Stephen Davis (Candice), Brad Davis (Georgia), Chris Culbreth (Sarah), Brandon Taylor (Megan), Andrew Taylor, Ben Taylor (Chancelee), Aubrey Kirkland (Angelina), Daniel Kirkland (Alicia), Paul Kirkland (Jennifer), Joseph Kirkland (Kayla), Nathan Kirkland, Abigail Hughes (Wesley) and Deborah Gandi (Herald).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel (305 Main St, Headland, AL 36345). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
