He was predeceased by: his wife Jan Kornegay; his parents, James Amos Kornegay and Pearlie Lee McCollough Kornegay; and his siblings, John "Dudley" Kornegay and Martha Helon Kornegay Woodham (Tom).
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Miller (Danny); his grandson Blake Miller (Abbey); his great grandchild Luke Miller; his sister Linda Rena Kornegay Harrison (Jimmy); and his sister-in-law Susan Kornegay. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
